  • This kind of roof is covered with perennial plants and shrubs that can add up to 30 cm of thickness.

2. Synthetic roofing materials

Rubber is one material that can be used to make synthetic roof tiles. The ability to work with these roofing tiles is their main benefit. They can be fixed after being cut into the desired shape. Composite roof tiles is another name for synthetic roof tiles.

Synthetic roofing tiles are a better replacement for natural roofing tiles today. The fact that these synthetic tiles have a longer warranty period is a significant benefit of the same.

  • Synthetic roof tiles that look like stone are a good choice. They keep out the weather better and don’t need as much maintenance.

3. Steel roofing

Metal roofing is the best choice because it doesn’t rust and lasts a long time. There are also metal roofs made of copper, aluminum, tin, and steel that don’t leak. The second type of roof can either be galvanized or made to weather.

  • Copper and zinc are the ones that cost the most.
  • Zinc, on the other hand, is by far the most environmentally friendly choice.

4. Ceramic tiles

Clay tiles are another type of green roofing that can be used. On the market, you can easily find both unglazed red clay tiles and glazed ceramic tiles. It works best along the coast and is a good choice for warmer climates.

  • Clay roof tiles can have one groove or two grooves.
  • They have different sizes and patterns. Like, the woven clay tiles cover about one square foot with about two tiles.
